On the 4th of July, the weather shouldn’t get absurdly hot at the national park but there are red flag warnings with fire danger. Make sure you’re prepared with plenty of water and sun protection, especially if you plan to hike. Even if the high for the day is 78 degrees, hydration is important.
Also be on the lookout for signs of potential lightning, which is a risk year-round in the area. Current conditions, fire warnings, road closures and more can be found here.
