The Los Angeles Clippers host the Portland Trail Blazers tonight, and DraftKings and FanDuel have single game NBA DFS contests for this Western Conference Matchup. The slate locks at 10:00 P.M. EDT, and below, we’ll highlight the best players for both production and value.
Best NBA DFS Picks
Jusuf Nurkic, C, Portland Trail Blazers (DraftKings $8.2k, FanDuel $12.5k)
Jusuf Nurkic has seen a bump in usage due to star Damian Lillard’s absence. In eight games without Lillard, Nurkic averages 18.1 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 2.9 assists. He also averages a combined 1.7 blocks and steals in this span, and he initiates a lot of the offense with Portland’s superstar point guard on the sidelines. Tonight, the Blazers face a Clippers team without their two best scorers and defenders when healthy, so expect Nurkic to control the glass and be very involved in the offense.
Ivica Zubac, C, Los Angeles Clippers (DraftKings $8.0k, FanDuel $13.0k)
Ivica Zubac is coming off the best game of his career, where he recorded 31 points and 29 rebounds against the Pacers. This was the most rebounds any player has grabbed this season so far, and tonight he’ll look to be just as dominant again. With stars Kawhi Leonard and Paul George out, as well as John Wall, Zubac may be in line to see more field goal attempts once again. He shot 14-for-17 from the field, mostly around the rim, so he doesn’t need a lot of looks toward the basket to be effective. While Nurkic is a solid defensive center for Portland, Zubac is a consistent rebounder, and it’s not a fluke that he averages a double-double. Plug in the Croatian big man tonight, possibly in the MVP or Captain slot, for reliable production.
Justise Winslow, Portland Trail Blazers (DraftKings $5.0k, FanDuel $8.0k)
With Damian Lillard still out, Winslow has slotted into the starting lineup. In his seven starts this year, Winslow has been able to contribute across all categories. He only averages 8.7 points as a starter, but his 6.1 rebounds and 5.0 assists are very significant in fantasy, especially at such an affordable salary. He’s also received 32.7 minutes on average in these starts, so expect him to be around that number again. Tonight, plug him in and expect him to get big minutes and fill up the stat sheet as a hustle player.
