Derek Carr responds to Davante Adams frustration about Raiders

Davante Adams voiced his frustration with the Raiders 0-3 start after their most recent loss to the Titans last Sunday. Derek Carr has responded.

Adams is by no means the only Raider who knows this team needs to turn things around. A dark horse AFC West pick for some before the start of the season, Vegas has let down its fanbase early and often through three weeks of action.

The former Packer, Adams, is used to slow starts — but three weeks in, he expected a little more cohesiveness.

“(I’m) Frustrated and angry,” Adams said. “Expect more. It’s not easy to win in this league. We know that. Nobody’s naïve to the fact that nobody’s just going to lay down and just give you a victory, but at the end of the day we expect more and we will do better as we move forward.”

It’ll take some time before Carr and Adams can link up like the Fresno State product’s former quarterback. Carr is no Aaron Rodgers, and the two lack reps. Still, Adams does have three touchdowns on the early season, so it’s not like Carr isn’t finding him when it counts.

“At the end of the day, I’m going to listen to Josh, and my progressions, and what he’s telling me in the game,” Carr said, via Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com. “We’re trying to set things up to get the ball in a certain place and it takes repetition. It takes time. This is only three games into us playing together, again. It hasn’t been all bad.”

Carr has taken the optimistic route, which it tough given the fact the Raiders are still winless. A game against the rival Denver Broncos awaits them this week, though FanSided’s Matt Verderame has Vegas winning this game in close fashion, 19-15.
