Embarrassed Broncos fans could not bother to watch team play Colts in overtime (Video)

Denver Broncos fans actually wanted no part of watching the team play the Indianapolis Colts in overtime.

Through the first five weeks of the 2022 NFL season, the Denver Broncos have played in three primetime games. Their latest one took place on Thursday Night Football against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 5. The offense was stagnant and unable to do anything except bring Brandon McManus into field goal range.

Even though the Broncos led 9-6, Colts quarterback Matt Ryan helped lead the team into field goal range, and set up a game-tying field goal by Chase McLaughlin with five-seconds remaining. That meant there was overtime in Denver. Let’s just say that some Broncos fans wanted no part of watching free football.

Broncos fans wanted no part of watching overtime vs. Colts

Beating the traffic? Or watching Denver lose in overtime? The fans who left probably feel justified after hearing the final score on the radio or seeing it on their phones.

Denver fans were furious with the offense, booing each time the offense, led by Russell Wilson, stalled out.

Indianapolis was able to take a 12-9 lead in overtime on a 48-yard field goal by McLaughlin. Denver then had the ball, waiting to see what Wilson could cook up. As it turns out, he cooked up zero points.

Despite the Broncos getting the team into the red zone, they faced a fourth-and-one. Head coach Nathaniel Hackett went for the win instead of the tie. On the play, Wilson threw an incompletion to give the victory to the Colts. To make matters worse, he did not see wide receiver KJ Hamler open.

Yeah, the Broncos fans who left probably made the right decision.
