“He looks like Khabib’s long lost son” – Fake news of UFC signing 20-0 fighter “Khalex Nurmagoreira” gets MMA Twitter reeling

A recent Twitter post regarding a fictitious UFC fighter has left the online MMA community with giggles. A Twitter account by the name ‘MMAFPRESS’ recently posted a photoshopped picture with the faces of Khabib Nurmagomedov and Alex Pereira morphing onto each other.

In the caption, the account declared the fighter as Khalex Nurmagoreira, an undefeated prospect who has just been signed to compete in the multi-billion dollar promotion’s welterweight division. The caption also jokingly mentioned that the fake fighter had an impeccable MMA record of 20-0 and was half Brazilian and half Dagestani.

“UFC signs new prospect to compete in the welterweight division, his name is Khalex Nurmagoreira. Nurmagoriera has a record of 20-0 and is half Brazilian and half Dagestani.”

UFC champion Alex Pereira will return to action in April

The newly crowned middleweight king Alex Pereira‘s next fight will take place at UFC 287. ‘Poatan’ will take on Israel Adesanya in a title rematch in the headliner. The event will take place on April 8 at the Miami-Dade Arena in Miami, Florida. The co-main event will feature a welterweight banger in the form of Jorge Masvidal vs. Gilbert Burns.

Adesanya and Pereira have locked horns on three separate occasions in combat sports. Their first two encounters took place in kickboxing and ‘Poatan’ took home the victory both times.

The two faced off in an MMA fight for the first time in November last year. ‘The Last Stylebender’ was cruising to a decision in but the Brazilian pulled off an amazing comeback victory as he knocked Adesanya out in the closing moments of the fifth round.

So, it remains to be seen whether Adesanya will finally get the better of Pereira on April 8 or will he go 0-4 against his arch-nemesis.
