Twitter has mixed reviews for Paige VanZant’s AEW debut

Paige VanZant made her long-awaited AEW in-ring debut at Double or Nothing, and Twitter reacted to her performance.

Paige VanZant appeared alongside American Top Team to feud with the Inner Circle last fall for All Elite Wrestling, fans were wondering when she would be making her in-ring debut with the company. That answer was Double or Nothing on Sunday, May 29, as she teamed alongside TNT Champion Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page to take on Sammy Guevara, Frankie Kazarian and Tay Conti in a mixed tag team match.

It took a while for VanZant to tag into the match, but it happened in the latter portion. She did not get the winning pinfall, but her team won after Sky pinned Kazarian with a cutter.

Wrestling and mixed martial arts fans reacted to VanZant’s performance in her in-ring debut, and they were mixed.

VanZant tagged into the match and immediately brought Conti to mat with a takedown. Eventually, Guevara got into the ring and VanZant managed to hit a tornado DDT on him. VanZant also pulled off a Michinoku Driver on Conti, but it did not result in the end of the match.

Ultimately, it was the heel team that broke down. Kazarian was arguing with Conti, and Guevara went to hit him with a super kick. Instead, Kazarian moved out of the way and accidentally hit his girlfriend Conti by mistake. That was what led to Kazarian getting pinned.

With the win, Guevara and Kazarian can no longer challenge for the TNT Championship as long as Sky is champion.

After a months-long wait, VanZant finally made her debut, and we can guarantee that it will not be her final match with AEW.
