The last time San Francisco won the Super Bowl was back in the 1994 season.
After getting through the Chicago Bears and Dallas Cowboys, San Francisco faced off against the then-San Diego Chargers in Super Bowl 29. San Francisco showed their dominance in this game, taking a 28-10 lead into halftime and walking off the field in Miami with the 49-26 victory.
Quarterback Steve Young won the MVP after completing 24-of-36 pass attempts for 325 yards and six touchdowns.
