Armed robbery in City Heights

An armed robbery took place Saturday evening at a City Heights store, according to San Diego police.

The police department received a 911 call shortly after 6 p.m. about a robbery at Metro by T-Mobile, near the intersection of University and Chamoune Avenue.

A White or Hispanic female walked into the store and pointed a firearm at an employee, demanding cash. The employee handed over money from the register, though the exact amount is unknown, according to Officer Darius Jamsetjee.

The assailant then left the store and headed east on University Avenue. She was described as wearing a navy blue hoodie, white shirt, black jeans and a crossbody satchel.
