Florida family narrowly escapes after massive tree crashes into home

Horrifying video captures the moment a massive tree came crashing down onto a Florida home Wednesday — sending the family inside scrambling for safety.

The scary scene in Hillsborough County came as Hurricane Ian tore through the state, unleashing flooding rains and ferocious winds.

A man, who identified himself as Bob P., recorded the moment the tree fell into his family’s home and his relatives can be heard screaming in horror as the branches pierce through the home’s lanai.

One woman can be heard sobbing as the tree’s branches crash through the roof and into the above-ground pool inside the lanai.

According to News Channel 8, a second tree also smashed into the home

“Dad says he has already filed an insurance claim,” the outlet said.

As of Wednesday night, Hillsborough County was experiencing significant power outages and powerful winds as storm surges are expected to hit Thursday.
