Gunfire at four 7-Elevens leaves clerk dead in Brea, at least 2 others injured

Gunfire left a 7-Eleven clerk dead in Brea and two people injured at a La Habra 7-Eleven — while shootings were also reported at chain locations in Santa Ana and Riverside, authorities said.

Brea police said in a statement that they believed the two north Orange County shootings were related.

The Brea shooting occurred at the 7-Eleven northwest of Brea Boulevard and Lambert Road at 4:18 a.m., Brea police said.

“When officers arrived, they found a male clerk, with a gunshot wound who was pronounced deceased by (the) Brea Fire (Department),” police said.

Police have not said yet whether the same suspect is being sought for the shootings in Riverside and Santa Ana as well.
