A 30-year-old man was hospitalized Wednesday night after being shot and wounded in the La Presa area of Spring Valley, a sheriff’s lieutenant said.
The gunfire was reported about 9:45 p.m. near Grand Avenue and Apple Street, San Diego sheriff’s Lt. Scott Roller said.
That intersection is populated by several businesses, including a pair of taco shops, a liquor store and a 7-Eleven, though Roller was unsure where the shooting occurred.
Paramedics took the victim to a hospital, Roller said. The severity of his injuries was not immediately known.
No information about the shooter nor details about what led up to the gunfire were immediately available late Wednesday.
