Man suffering from gunshot wound shows up at Sharp Grossmont Hospital

File source Sheriff’s deputies were investigating after a man suffering from a gunshot wound showed up at Sharp Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa on Sunday afternoon, an official said.
Hospital staff reported the incident to the county Sheriff’s Department about 3:20 p.m. The victim was reportedly talking with hospital staff although the extent of his injuries was not clear.
The victim told deputies he had been shot in Spring Valley but would not provide other details.
No further information, such as the victim’s age, was immediately available.
