Police arrest armed robbery suspect who allegedly stole from Mission Valley hotel

File source A woman armed with a handgun who allegedly robbed a Mission Valley hotel was arrested Sunday morning.
The incident happened at around 5 a.m. at the Riverleaf Inn on Hotel Circle Place.
The woman walked into the hotel lobby, pointed a gun at an employee and demanded money from the cash register and safe, as well as some of the employee’s personal property, according to San Diego police.
The woman then left the hotel in a small hatchback, police said. Officers stopped her based on a description of the car from witnesses and arrested her on a robbery charge, according to police.
No details about the suspect’s age or items recovered was released.
