San Diego police on Wednesday released the name of a 67-year-old man who was fatally stabbed earlier this week inside his Clairemont home.
He was identified as Floyd Todd Budd, who was killed around 2:30 a.m. at his home on Bowden Avenue near Derrick Drive.
Police officers arrested his fiancée’s 28-year-old son, Raul Marquez, on suspicion of murder after they found him outside the home, in the driveway, when they arrived. Marquez was armed with a knife and had blood on his clothes, police Lt. Steve Shebloski said.
Officers found Budd dead inside the home. He had been stabbed multiple times in his upper body, Shebloski said.
The lieutenant previously said Marquez does not live at the home permanently, although he stays there regularly.
Marquez was booked into San Diego Central Jail on suspicion of murder and committing a felony while on bail. He remained held without bail Wednesday, according to online jail records.
