Pursuit ends in Oceanside crash; at least 1 person dead

OCEANSIDE — 

At least one person died Friday morning when a pickup pursued by law enforcement crashed in a North County intersection.

San Diego County sheriff’s deputies began pursuing the truck in Vista around 4 a.m. The vehicle crashed at the
intersection of Lake Boulevard and Cannon Road in Oceanside.

Traffic in the intersection was blocked around 6:30 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
