Carl Agnew is back in Orange County.

Savanna announced Agnew as its new football coach on Monday. He replaces Mike Willey, who resigned after four seasons.

Agnew coached Los Amigos for 11 seasons before departing after the 2018 campaign to become the defensive coordinator at Lakewood under Scott Meyer, the former Corona del Mar and Servite coach.

Agnew led Los Amigos to the CIF-SS playoffs seven times, including five trips to the quarterfinals. The Lobos also twice won nine games under Agnew and a Garden Grove League title in 2008.

He served as the coach at Santa Fe the past two seasons. The Chiefs went 0-10 last season and 1-9 in 2021.
