Wanted Florida man tries to escape deputies on John Deere lawnmower

He tried to cut and run.
A wanted Florida man who gave cops the slip in January by diving into a swamp was finally busted last week after trying to flee deputies on a lawnmower.
The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office said they spotted Dusty Mobley, 40, behind the wheel of a John Deere lawnmower Saturday and shouted at him to hit the ground.
The law-breaking landscaper, they said, had several outstanding warrants and had managed to escape a prior arrest attempt by jumping off a stolen boat and vanishing into a swamp.
Mobley floored the lawnmower and tried to putter away from deputies who hustled after him on foot.
They quickly caught up to Mobley and zapped him with a Taser before taking him into custody.
Officials said they found a revolver, methamphetamine and a handcuff key on his person.
Cops tried to nab him in January after he was suspected of cutting through a fence and stealing a $40,000 boat.
“Mobley was on the boat when deputies arrived at the scene, but dove off the side and disappeared into the swamp to avoid going to jail,” deputies said in a statement.

He is now facing a slew of charges including grand theft, resisting an officer, drug raps and possession of a concealed weapon by a felon.
