Everyone was a winner at Perron Institute kids’ mini golf day on Thursday.
Families joined two of this year’s Little Telethon Stars, Ari and Leo, for a day of mini golf at Wembley Golf Course, teeing off a week of golfing charity fundraisers.
Not only did they get to spend time with Fat Cat, the irrepressible kids got to ride in a golf cart and took turns having hits on the driving range.
Leo’s Mum Natalie said his experience playing T-ball had paid off.
“It’s a similar action, keeping your eye on the ball,” she said. “They got to have a go on the driving range too, so he was pretty chuffed.”
Perron Institute is also offering a $250,000 prize for the lucky winner of its Hole-in-one for Telethon competition.
Up until October 9, “golden balls” will be inserted randomly into the range hopper at the Wembley Golf Course driving range, giving players the chance to win a place in the shoot out for a hole-in-one.
If there is more than one winner, the $250,000 cash prize will be shared.
Wembley Golf Course will also host Perrons’ Play with the Pros even on Friday, October 7.
All funds raised will be donated to Telethon to benefit the Perron Institute’s future research into children’s health.
