West Aussie a millionaire after Saturday Lotto win

Check your tickets, one West Aussie is a newly-minted millionaire.

A West Australian has scored a share of Saturday’s $20 million Lotto Superdraw.

The ticket was among 10 division one winners across Australia, with each taking away $2 million.

The lucky ticket was bought from Innaloo Lottery Centre but the win has yet to be claimed.

The winning numbers were 10, 18, 39, 3, 21, 6, 41 and 43.

So far, 53 West Australian tickets have won the jackpot in 2022 — more than half from Saturday draws.

Earlier this week, a northern suburbs father became one of the latest West Aussies to win big on Lotto, taking away $900,000 in last Saturday’s draw.

He was so taken aback by the windfall, he did the unthinkable and delegated his barbecue duties.

“I had my son and his girlfriend around on Saturday night for dinner and I thought I’d just check my ticket,” he said.

“When I realised that I’d won division one, I turned to my son and said, ‘You’re going to have to take over the barbecue, I need to sit down’.”

He was one of three West Australians to claim a share of the division one win.

Earlier this month, a father-to-be said his unborn baby girl could be the “lucky charm” which scored him $1m in Lotto.

“I bought the ticket right after my wife and I found out the gender of our first baby,” the winner said.

“I’m still in shock that we’ve won.

“Our little girl might be a lucky charm for us.”

The new parents will use the winnings to travel overseas to visit family and loved ones they haven’t seen since the pandemic.

“We can’t wait to celebrate with them,” the Perth man said.
