Brazilian musician Gilberto Gil on half a century of performing

The World of Music, Arts and Dance Festival, WOMAD is celebrating 40 years this weekend. Headlining tonight is a man whose musical career has lasted even longer – 50 years.

Gilberto Gil, the Brazilian Grammy-winning singer-songwriter, and former Cultural Minister is performing there for the second time, but now he’ll be joined members of his family on stage.
