Arch Manning might cause Ole Miss fans to short circuit with latest update

Ole Miss football fans were already riding high after the Egg Bowl but Arch Manning might’ve given them an even bigger win for the long term.

The college football regular season is wrapping up and the Egg Bowl on Thanksgiving between the Ole Miss Rebels and Mississippi State Bulldogs truly got the blood flowing for rivalry week. At the end of the day, though, Lane Kiffin and his crew from Oxford went on the road and delivered a huge victory.

Wins on a larger scale kept pouring in too. The Rebels beating their rivals gave them the first 10-win season in program history and will likely punch their ticket to a New Year’s Six game. And if that weren’t enough victories, Ole Miss is going to win the Arch Manning sweepstakes too — at least according to a random video that leaked online.

On Friday, the day after the Egg Bowl, a video with a supine Arch Manning beside a woman sitting on the ground surfaced in which she said the all-world quarterback recruit was going to Ole Miss and, in a moment sure to send Rebels fans into a frenzy, he said that he was.

Arch Manning says he’s going to Ole Miss in quite unofficial video

Does a blonde asking the highly touted recruit if he’s going to play for the Rebels and the quarterback responding sheepishly in the affirmative before saying “Hotty Toddy” mean anything?

No — at least not anything official.

However, considering that Uncle Eli spent his college football career in Oxford and with the way Lane Kiffin has the program rolling in just his second season, it’s not hard to imagine a world in which the Rebels are very much in the mix for the next in line to take over the family business of being an elite quarterback.

All told, Ole Miss fans will either look back on this video as a beautiful point in time in which Arch Manning first revealed his master plan or a cruel deception that misled them. We’ll have to wait to find out which is the reality of the situation.
