A man was stabbed in the back during a fight in San Ysidro on Monday evening, San Diego police said.
Someone called 911 shortly after 7 p.m. to report the fight and stabbing on East Calle Primera near Willow Road, Officer John Buttle said.
The man had been stabbed in his lower back, and had cuts on his upper back, the officer said. He was taken to a hospital with wounds not considered life-threatening.
The assailant fled before police arrived.
No further information was immediately available.
