FALLBROOK —
Deputies are investigating after gunshot victim showed up at the Fallbrook home of a family friend Wednesday, sheriff’s officials said.
The friend called 911 shortly before 11 a.m. to report that the victim, a man, was at the home on Rainbow Glen Road just west of Interstate 15, the department said. .
Paramedics took the victim to a hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound to the abdomen, Lt. Matthew Carpenter said. Lt. Scott Roller later said the man was listed in stable condition.
The shooting apparently had occurred in a different location, but exactly where was unclear, Carpenter said.
No information about a suspected shooter was available.
